Tour of Duty Seven:
The Battle of Endor
X-Wing Alliance Strategy Guide

The Rebel Alliance makes the historic jump to hyperspace and meets head-on with the imperial fleet as well as the new Death Star.   You need to pilot the falcon to victory against all odds.

Mission 1 Easy (2)

Battle of Endor

Mission 2 Easy (2)

That Thing's Operational!

Mission 3 Easy (2)

The Shield is Down!

Mission 4 Hard (10)

Death Star Tunnel Run

Comments: Tour of Duty Seven is the selling point of the entire game, and at least for the first few playthroughs, is actually worth it.  There are some nagging issues though.

Totally Games rationalized the four-mission-split with concerns of memory and processor use.  Unfortunately, each mission (except the tunnel run) have 10 minute time limits which severely hamper the idea of being there.  Why they couldn't dynamically load or remove ships is beyond me.

The fun & frustrating Tunnel Run is exciting, but like the trench run in X-Wing, it has been extremely lengthened.  There is an optional branch to destroy the Super Laser - fun for veterans, perhaps, but is it really a good idea plot wise?

In the end though, flying the Millennium Falcon and rushing out of the Death Star make the final tour of the game well worth the wait.

This is the big fight from the movie, so everybody shows up.  Wedge, Lando, Ackbar, they're all here.  And so is that Death Star!
