Tour of Duty 5: Combat Evaluation

Mission 1: "Battle of the Wilderness"

Location:

• Gamma Draconis Nebula

Reinforcements:

• Beta, Zeta wings

Objectives:

• Protect GTVA Cruisers

In Game:

• Destroy Shivan Fighter Wings
• Destroy Cain class cruiser "Malor" (Primary 1/2)
• Protect GTVA Cruisers (Primary 2/2)

This mission has a very uneven level of action - things go from easy to difficult fast. When Shivan fighters jump in, bind all of the flight groups to a single function key and order a strike by all fighters. Keep doing this until the Malor jumps in, at which point you will probably want to call in one or both reinforcement wings to assist. You cannot call Zeta wing in until the Malor appears.

After that, there is one more wave of Shivans to destroy before it is smooth sailing.
