Tour of Duty 1: Assault
Mission 3: "The Romans Blunder"
Location: Deneb - Near Sirius Jump Node
Objectives:
In Game:
- NTF Iceni jumps (Primary 1/1 failed, objectives reassigned)
- Destroy NTF Freighters (2x NTFR Triton) (Primary 1/2, 2/2)
- Destroy NTF Fighters (ends first wave)
- Destroy NTF Freighters (3x, Secondary 1/1)
- Destroy NTF Fighters (Unrewarded)
Again, this mission is pretty straightforward. Your chances of catching up to the Iceni are next to nil, so hang loose and wait for the NTF flight group. Focus your firepower on eliminating the freighters while your wingmen deal with the fighter escort.
With the second wave, you may want to focus on only one freighter before turning to the fighters. By that time, the GVD Psamtik will arrive and utterly crush the ships with its beam cannons.
Aftermath: Transferred to Heavy Assault Squadron.
