The goal of this site is not to be a clone of Anand Tech, Tom's Hardware Guide , TweakIt, or any other. I hold a great respect for Anand, Tom, and Dan even though I don't know them personally. The three sites above are my favorites and I hope to complement them by adding my experiences and another point of view.
My mission is to bring you my experiences as a consultant and devoted technogeek with various hardware components & software programs and their performance in a working environment.
A product that is reviewed in a working environment means a lot to me. When someone tells me they have had no problems for months, running XYZ's product with software that I use everyday means a lot to me.
Benchmarks are very useful but we have come to a point in time that the difference between the fastest and slowest is almost trivial. The knowledge that a product will support and do what it says is paramount.
I want to show a products user friendliness, effectiveness, compatibility's, and incompatibilities. Plus, more in-depth reviews of features like temp monitoring, ACPI, and USB capabilities.
These are my goals, I have no clue where this will take me, at this point I feel like I'm walking into a dark room not knowing where anything is. I'll just keep walking until I bump into something. I may be biting off more than I can chew but it's like they say; "You can't get wet unless you jump into the pool".
